1. The printer verifies the correctness of prepared materials for printing, according to the following standards: 

  1.   completeness of materials for printing (files), 
  2.   compliance of the format of the materials with the order parameters, 
  3.   compliance of the volume/extent of materials with the order parameters, 
  4.   verification of the width of the spine and bleeds of the cover, 
  5.   correctness of inserts and insertions placement, 
  6.   correctness of font embedding, 
  7.   verification of correctness of material preparation: 
  8.   for spot varnishes 
  9.   for embossing 
  10.   for die-cutting 
  11.   verification of bitmap resolution 
  12.   verification of line thickness, 
  13.   correct positioning of cutting lines, 
  14.   verification of cover graphics against fixed binding elements: 
  15.   creases in the cover 
  16.   joints in the cover 
  17.   flap creases 
  18.   margins 
  19.   random check of 100% saturation of black texts,

2. The Company is not responsible for errors resulting from improper preparation of materials for printing, including: 

  1.   resulting from the use of transparency, 
  2.   incorrect pagination order, 
  3.   incorrect placement of blank pages, 
  4.   incorrect preparation of layout pages in the interior, 
  5.   positioning of objects and texts, 
  6.   inconsistencies in assigning ISBN codes, 
  7.   colour deviations when printing without a colour reference, 
  8.   colour mapping when using colour materials on pages printed in black, 
  9.   colour mismatches and the final result due to inappropriate selection of raw materials, 
  10.   colour discrepancies resulting from the use of RGB colour space in the input file, 
  11.   spelling, grammatical and editorial errors in the content, 
  12.   aesthetics of project execution.

Paul Wadsworth

 A Paul Wadsworth painting hangs in our living room – a shard of sunlight leaping up from a Cornish moor, a bright streak of yellow bursting from an earthy Celtic landscape. The painting changes during the day; as the light shifts around it the image seems to dance, a bold swathe of dark green coming in and out of focus, the clouds in the sky billowing and rearranging. Sometimes I can see figures moving along the ridgeway at the point where the land meets the sky. At other times, I just see an explosion of colour.

 

The paintings which emerge from Paul’s time in India amplify that sense of colour leaping from the canvas - the rich textures of verdant foliage, the humid warmth of the air, the dripping fullness of the trees. Water is a recurrent element, reflecting and intensifying the life which throngs through the paintings. And just as these images are vibrant with adventure and personal narrative, so they are peopled with figures who emerge from the landscape to tell their own stories; working, walking, worshipping, dancing. At times the paintings burst the confines of their own canvasses, affixed to larger boards which allow them to continue expanding, shrines at the centre of a world which is fruitful and multiplying.

 

There is nothing ‘touristy’ here; this is the work of someone who has immersed himself in these landscapes, succumbed to them, become intoxicated by them. They are overwhelmingly positive and life-affirming. A painting of trees over water shimmers and shifts, the colours constantly rearranging themselves, reflections moving as if still fluid. I think that’s what I love most about Paul’s work – the sense that each painting is still growing, still evolving, and still finding its own story. I could look at them for hours, days, years. I am sure you will feel the same.

India - Stories from the Banyan tree

 

Ever since my early twenties I wanted to visit and explore the magical place of Banyan trees, Temples, deities, colour, architecture, festivities, Tigers, Monkeys and Elephants. These are just a few offerings that tell the story of India.

 

For seventeen years I painted and travelled extensively in the United Arab Emirates and Oman showing works in Dubai and Muscat but over the last 6 years my travels have taken me to the amazingly colourful India.

 

My first trip took me to the west coast of Goa.

 

For one month I spent time travelling by moped, taxis, boats and buses exploring the amazing diversity of landscape and culture. Carrying a sketchbook, acrylics and water colours I started to make my first impressions of India on paper.

 

Multicoloured temples and white churches sit amongst the palm trees that run alongside the rivers splitting the landscape. Everywhere you looked would be some colour, the ladies saris, the decorated cow, the musician playing for money or the bustling markets selling flowers.

 

Subsequent trips took me to the temples of Rajasthan and to the tropical forests and tea fields of Kerala.

 

I try to find the power of storytelling in a painting and in India I found it in abundance.

 

Over these times I have worked on many sketches and smaller location based works. These were the beginnings and memories for paintings to come.

 

Once home I start work on much larger canvases with oils and the stories begin. Each painting gradually finding its own way and revealing parts of the personnel journeys that I intend to continue over the years to come.

Marketing Your Book

Firstly, let’s look at why you should market your book. As you are self-publishing your manuscript, you are responsible for the actual marketing of your book, so if you don’t do it, no one will!

    “But I don’t like selling and I have never sold anything to anyone in my life,” I hear you say.

Don’t worry, almost all authors, whether they’re self-published or not, have been and probably will always be in the same boat as you. You are a writer and not a salesperson. However, the best person to promote your work is you.

You obviously believe your book is of some value because you have spent hours upon hours writing, rewriting and editing it to make the story, characters and settings of as much interest to the reader as you can. You have then spent more time and money trying to get literary agents and publishers to read your book in order to have your work published. The reason you want your book published is because you feel that what you have written is worth it.

Pre-Launch Publicity

 We are now in pre-launch stage of your book. This is the start of many things for the book and for you.

 

This is the other side of publishing your book, the business side; the entrepreneurial side

 

Of many areas:

Publicity and promotion are big, getting your book, the title and your brand [Brand development] out there in the public arena; to attract attention to the book, build awareness and convert them into sales.

 

So for that, we have the following advocative suggestions:

·         Press

·         Tradition publicity in the local & national newspapers are still methods of getting your work and brand noticed.

·         Media

·         It is possible then to have TV commercials and interviews on the local TV and radio stations.

·         Press Release

·         As part of the process – there is a PR template where by the information is produced to send to all media outlets letting them know that you have launched your book.

 

Emailing

This is a traditional way of networking; attach it to your email, have your Email Campaign. This is something at your fingertip and it is relatively free. You are immediately equipped with the details of the book and the link to the web page, you can have a press release and any digital flyers to attach and send to your list of people.

 

On-line presence

This is instance and global when you put all things together – such as the web page of your book, the social media, the Google search engines and also how all the on-line sites that hold your book and brand – present it in that part of the world.

 

Web page/site

Once the book has been registered and launched on the POD system/chain – your book will get an instant web page – for it to start working from go.

This is the anchor for you to get your book link sent and promoted by you and anyone on your team.

 

It is only limited based on your limitations.

 

Blog page

Another aspect of the on-line service, this lets you engage with your clients.  Here you can have deeper and engaging dialogue and promote your book and brand.

 

Social Media:

In today’s world and market it is important to be connected and have social media accounts as well as have basic know-how. Social media is our gateway to the internet/virtual reality world, it is global, alive and active; we need to accept that is our reality. It is not easy, but there are many services available to assist.

·         On-line influencers

It would be great to identify people in amongst your friends as well as in your genre who are an influencer and have a large following. They will get your product and brand out to a wider community.

 

Secondary Promotion

Once your book is ingested, the company will promote your books on their sites and platforms; and also farm it out to their associates.  It is beneficial to take stock and also use them to increase your brand awareness.

 

Rinse and Repeat

This is a term used on-line to repeat and continue to promote your brand through all things that are available to you – such as each on-line site that promotes or holds your book – it is your opportunity to promote your brand with a different name and endorsement; thus giving you and your brand acceptance and credibility.

 

Reviews

Asking your readers/purchaser to give you a review.

These reviews are diamond for your book and your brand – they are human generated – this is endorsement other people who have purchased and read your book.  This is in itself a huge credit to you and your work – your work was good enough for someone to pay money to purchase your book.

 

Book signing/Launch Party

This is a social event where people get to speak and meet, engage with you; where you will have the opportunity for personalised signing. This will take organising and arranging.

1. When you take up my service, we use our expertise, experiences and knowledge to get your book published. We put your book together in a digital book format; we create your cover and produce your art work.  we fulfil the process as listed on the “Journey.”


2. In order to get your book out into the public domain, we use my own account, the gateway to the other side.  This part is a ball-part of the service and facility one needs.  The account gives access to the Print on demand industry and its system, where it holds your digital file in storage so when a customer or you wish to have a copy they will print the book and send it to you or the customer, anywhere in UK, USA, Canada, Australia and Europe - and anywhere else your book is made available through the chain.

The account also processes the money from the sale of the book and then divide the profit and then hold it in account (MAP-linked), until the minimum threshold is made, £5 for PayPal account holder and £20, cheque by post to the address registered; it is up to you to keep MPBS updated with your new address. Each update will cost £35.00 administration fee to update the whole system.

 

3. Registering your book with an ISBN is the formal part of the publishing the book. ISBN is the gateway to the database and the Law of the land, the book then has to be legally deposited to the 6 libraries of the country.

We use one of our ISBN’s to complete the process for you. ISBN is owned and registered to Mayar Akash (MAPublisher).

Your information of the book and the technical data and you are assigned to the ISBN and registered; this information is locked with that ISBN and it can never be changed.

The ISBN is not transferable. So by you paying the administration/fulfilment fee do not transfer the ownership of the ISBN. However, it gives you 80% share of the profit if you paid the full amount. MA retains 20% royalty share from his property. A schedule of the royalty split based on the amount you paid is laid out separately
