One of the driving and active giant is the Nielsens who are the owner and guardian of the ISBN and the database, they ensure that your books awareness and availability all over the world. They assume the duty to have your book visible on-line and in all its databases, associates and partners.

While you may add more to your website and if the website should go down for whatever reason, your book images and information from your websites will disappear and if they click on the link - they will see the "404" message, however, the information put out by the Nielsen's will be there constant, and within six months your book image and detail will be in multiple websites around the world.

Once the books are inducted in the 6 libraries, you and your work will etch into the United Kingdoms history and archive, your genre and subject will be in the same category as the others who have been inducted before us, such as Mr Turner, Mr Shakespeare and others.

Having your work in the library archive means that when we are gone and our website are down, your legacy will live on through your artwork you sold and also through the libraries and the Nielsen's database.

All book shop have a chain, they have to be registered with the middle man, the supplier which will be Gardener - with them they have access to the Nielsen's database, through which they order the books and that is the industry cycle.

The distribution service for your book to be listed on retail channels, such as Amazon.com, BN.com and in major bibliographic databases.

                             

Will this publishing set up benefit you? Yes it does, presents your work and you to a formal and educational institutes and establishments; by which gives your work and you credibility for the Universities and other alumni.

Will it help me sell my paintings? Yes, this increase your chance of selling and it gives exposure of your to various other levels, groups of people and market.

Getting the book on Amazon - takes 10 weeks - then your book/s are made available through their own outlets - to the continents - Australia, New Zealand, cananda, South America, Individual European countries, China, India, Russia and USA.

Right, you are ready to publish your work in a book.

 

You have two options:

1. You send your manuscript to the publishing companies and wait for them to accept your work and publish them and like "Penguin, Harper Collins and others.

 

2. You self publish your books

The process is daunting and there is no guarantee through the traditional way and self publishing is daunting too but it gives you control in your hand.

 

Choosing to self publish gives you options

 

1. Self publish your book and become a self publisher, become a independent publisher, (an Indy) which means you are now entering the self employment and an entrepreneur, find a printer, register your company, assign your ISBN and then get them in the distribution chain, getting your books to the shops and on-line stores.

 

2. You can self publish through MAPublisher who produce the book for you.

 

You can have your book assigned or un-assigned.

 

Assigned book means that the book will be registered with and ISBN.

ISBN stands for International Standard Book Number. It is a 13-digit number that's used as a unique identifier for books. ISBN is used internationally.

 

Un-assigned means without.

 

When & Why would you want your book to be assigned?

If you want to go it alone and get your book out there in the global market and want to be free of administration of the chain of process, in short you just want copies when you need then receive royalties when sold, then this is when and why you'll have the book producer assign the number.

 

Your book will be registered and will enter the distribution chain globally. Your books will be printed on demand and will be purchasable through book shops and the on-line giants such as Amazon, Waterstones, and many others.

 

When & why would you want your book unassigned?

You produce the books for the sole purpose for you to send to the agencies with the hope that you are discovered by a publishing house.

 

Your book will not be registered and no ISBN will be assigned. You book will be unregistered (unlocked) for any agents wanting to take you on.

MAPublisher has set-up the "Publishing Brokerage Service (PBS) for people who need support and wish to launch their publishing career.   PBS provides facilities for aspiring writers to fulfil their dreams, a facility that is shaped to deliver accomplishments, 100%.

It cost to get work published, however, MAP has the supported publishing is in place to champion the writer to get their work published.

Maximum royalty exchange is 80%, 20% default retention.

1. Full payment for cost and time gives you 80% of the royalty (for the business minded).

2. The JSO part payment gives you royalties based on your payment (for the inbetweener).

3. Writers' Champion option gives you 10% share of the Royalty (For those "its not about the money").

•     Deferred option is same value as the above two options (£800=70% & Subject to inflation)
•     You can at any time pay to increase your share, admin fee apply.
•     Under deferment - the deferment is indefinite and you won't be charged but you will have the option to pay to increase your percentage - this is to give you a peace of mind. 
•     Any royalties earned from the book after publishing will not count as or be used to offset the payment of the "cost/fee." 
•    Once the agreement and the book has been published, all royalties received is "a right of             earning," for MAP and author; but that does not prevent the author from paying the "cost/fees" to increase the royalty ratio.
•     This applies to each book published.

Since 2014, MAPublisher has evolved and grown.

Principally MAP is a self publisher but has opened up to help others.  

MAP has formulated a way to do that,  by adding a "Brokerage service," here MAP uses its own ISBN numbers, professionally produce your book and to officially and legally register it, where details of your book & your name is assigned.

For that service I charge a fee (see cost flow chart).  Where people are unable to pay or want to defer payment - all aspects are covered with MAP.
